"A person is never perfect until you fall in love with them ..."

That's what a friend told me a while ago
I understood what she meant,
but still didn't know just how right she was

I usually fell in love with those stupid guys
who were sure to break my heart
into hundreds of pieces in less than a year

For some reason I fell for what they were - dangerous
but that wasn't really what I wanted or needed
I know that now, thanks to you

You are the opposite to all those guys
You are kind, gentle and sweet
Caring and loving, you've swept me off my feet

Some people have said that they don't understand
how I can love someone like you
You're not good-looking or "Prince Charming"

What they'll never see or understand is that you are,
just not to them, but to me you are
and I wouldn't change a single thing about you
