Smiling Stranger

You know
when you meet a stranger
in town
or at the mall,
the supermarket,
on the bus
or anywhere else

You don't know that person
at all
Don't know about this stranger's
hopes, dreams, feelings, relationship ...

But even if the stranger
is nothing more than a stranger to you
you can say hello
as you pass by
or just smile
Because that means that you've seen
and acknowledge the person

That little smile can mean so much
no words needed
Because, a smile
is worth more than words

A smiling stranger
can change a person's mood
or actually make the person's day
It can be a shy smile
or a flirty one that makes you stop,
turn around and think about the person
again, about the smile

we all should be
everyday in our life

A smiling stranger
is someone we probably won't meet again
At least not the same stranger
Because next time you see each other
you won't be a stranger
because I've seen you before
and recognize you, by your beautiful smile
